Opportunities to Serve in Worship

Bus/Van Driver - Provides pick up and drop off for members in the First Baptist community. It will take approximately 30-45 minutes before and after service. The commitment time is for one (1) month at a time.

Guest Services - Greeters are stationed at the various entries around the building to greet and offer assistance to visitors and regular attendees. The commitment time is two (2) hours weekly.

Parking & Safety Ministry - Assist those trying to find a space in our busy parking lots during service times. This may include directing traffic, placing parking cones, providing directions, and parking a car for those injured or less mobile. The commitment time is two (2) hours weekly.

Music Ministry - Musicians and vocalists are needed for Sunday services and special events. Commitment times vary.

C.G. Wooding Nurses - Provide emergency care to members during worship services and special events. The commitment time is two (2) to three (3) hours monthly.

Media Ministry - Actively assists in spreading the gospel to the FB Community. Ministry service includes recording Sunday services on cassette, cassette duplication, sales of tapes and video production. The commitment time is two (2) to three (3) hours weekly.

Nursery - Service in this ministry is one of the most vital within our church. The care and safety of our little ones is a high priority. Our nursery is designed for children ages 0-3 years old. The commitment period is six (6) months.

Ushers - Manages the flow of persons to and from the sanctuary before and after worship services. This also includes the seating of people, and the taking of the offerings. The commitment time is two (2) hours weekly.

Domestic Engineer/Interior Decorator - Assist in picking up/cleaning up the sanctuary between services on Sunday, assuring a prepared sanctuary for each service. Also, helping in seasonal decoration of the sanctuary areas for special times of the year.
