Core Values - Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

We strive for excellence in service and relationships, First Baptist is intentional when providing opportunities to serve and mindful of needs to be served.

We recognize and make room for the people of God to give and receive spiritual, physical and emotional support in all of their sorrows and joys. We aim to build healthy families and healthy neighborhoods in all of the places where First Baptist may exert influence and interest.

We provide prayer, funeral and bereavement support, visitation, assistance, guidance, comfort, counseling and many others services to our members and their families as well as the community in times of crisis and during significant life milestones.

Prayer Request

"Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, 'AMEN.'" - Psalms 106:48

"Consider it Done" is a phrase we at First Baptist prefer to use when you make a request of us, whether it is to simply change your email address, plan your wedding, notify us of a death or correct your address. We want you to feel confident that upon submission of the forms, your request will be taken care of expeditiously. If you have information pertaining to others that the Church needs to know, such as the illness of a member, the death of a member or family member or the hospitalization of the same, we can serve you better when you keep us informed. Project 25:36

". . . I was in prison and you came to Me" - Matthew 25:36

Project 25:36 is the comprehensive prison ministry of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. It is designed to support youth and adult inmates—our Community Sons and Daughters—and their families during incarceration and reentry. The emotional impact incarceration has on parents, spouses, and children, and the financial strain it can cause makes incarceration a family issue. Project 25:36 will provide comprehensive support that will help strengthen and maintain the family unit during and after their family member’s incarceration.
