Worship, Discipleship, Stewardship, Fellowship and Caring Nurture
are the cornerstones for conducting ministry at First Baptist Church.
These tenets provide a means for the members to remain in fellowship
with one another while serving and being served.
- Worship
emerges as foremost, because the Bible advocates that the adoration
of God through the Scriptures, songs of praise and through prayer
should be our highest priority.
- Through Discipleship,
we strive to become like Christ through our study of God's Word.
Our aim is "to bear much fruit, showing ourselves to be God's
disciples" (John 15:8).
- The Lord God requires us to be faithful and wise managers of
the resources He entrusts to us. At First Church we encourage
every member to take Stewardship
seriously in giving of time, talents and monies.
- Once monthly we repeat our Church covenant, but daily we commit
and connect to each other through our organized neighborhood groupings
to stay in Fellowship.
- In an effort to meet the needs of our members and our community
we seek out those who have special and unusual needs and provide
means for providing Caring
Nurture.
