Fellowship is devotion and commitment to a covenant relationship
of love, support and accountability between and among the people
of God. At First Baptist we accomplish fellowship goals through
small groups. Families organized into neighborhood groupings are
called Family Care Circles. Members who share common interests are
called NetCare groups.
As a member focused, purpose driven congregation, we are aggressive
about providing opportunities for serving as well as insuring those
necessary services are available. Small groups enable us to be as
effective as possible in providing a caring environment for our
members. Success is in the hands of every member. Every member is
responsible for maintaining a connected relationship with a small
group of other members.
Family Care Circles, led by lay persons, give members greater opportunities
to know one another. In small clusters of families, our members
learn more than each other's names. A true sense of community exists.
Sharing joys, sorrows, recreation, amusement and education in small
groups strengthens individual faith and witness and strengthens
community relationships.
NetCare is a small group ministry, which offers members of the
same interest, professions, lifestyles, etc., to meet and learn
more about each other, and to gain strength from each other.
Our continuing fellowship goal is to maintain a small, local church
atmosphere with Community Building capacity of a large, corporate
sized regional Church. Every member needs access, support, opportunities
and information. The best way to supply these needs is through cooperation
and shared responsibility.
